Survey and Fixtures

Kitchen Measurements Survey

Kitchen Measurements Survey

To create your kitchen Quote you only need the approximate measurements of:

1. WALL WIDTH
2. PLUMBING PIPES POSITION

You can take more precise measurements later on.

WHEN TO DO IT

The best moment to survey the measurements is when the building works are finished. However, doing it during the constructions or renovation works allows you to intervene on the fixtures position and adapt it to the kitchen you would like to design.

HOW TO TAKE THE MEASUREMENTS

1. Measure the with of your wall at different heights: walls are never perfectly straight vertically and in this way you can mark possible differences.
2. If you do the measurements survey before placing the tiles please remind that thy will have a thickness of around 10-12 mm on each side.
3. Take note of the position of water pipes; gas pipes; electrical sockets; fume evacuation set up.
4. If the kitchen elements are adjacent to a lateral wall verify if the angle is 90° or not using the "diagonal method".
5. Take note if something obstruct or protrude from the wall such as jambs, pocket sliding doors, boilers, radiators ceramic skirting boards higher than 10 cm.
6. Verify theceiling height, that in the UK is usually 240 cm. Our kitchens are 216 or 240 cm high: with sloping ceilings, visible beams or other protruding elements, verify the heights in different points.

Fixtures and Tiles

Fixtures and Tiles

To design your kitchen you have to keep in mind the position of the fixtures. We have two cases at this point:

1. FIXTURES ARE NOT YET PRESENT
2. FIXTURES ARE ALREADY PRESENT

In the first case the pipes will be designed to fit the kitchen composition, in the second case; it is the kitchen composition that will be designed to be compatible with the position of the pipes. You need to know the position of the following fixtures:

- water pipes and waste
- gas connection
- electrical sockets
- flue pipe

FIXTURES ARRANGEMENT

During constructions or renovations it is possible to decide where to place the water pipes, gas pipes, electrical sockets and the fume evacuation set up, so that you can freely decide how to design your kitchen composition.
We remind you that every operation of planning, installation, or modification of the fixtures must be carried out by a professional technician that has to make this changes according to the current regulations.
